i have heard that some pipes cause piston holing. how is this caused? is it a suck it out but not back in - timing kind of glitch. anyone understand this and can shed some light on it?

i have not got a specific problem......just want to look good when i explain it to someone else some day ;)

me too.........
although i would just add that whenever swapping pipes (especially to a more efficient one).............re jetting should be done to suit.

I've always rejetted or at least done a few plug chops. Just to make sure.

Is it possible for some pipes to cause a weak spot that's hard to dial/impossible to out :?:

yes this was the line i was thinking, no disrespect chaps but i was looking for a bit more depth to the theory involving pulse timing exit tube diamiters ect.

just curioius really to what is going on to cause these problems

Have been wondering about this myself, also does the exhaust material play a part?
