Running Hot

I have a Series 2 LI150 that I have just put on the road, it is running the following
Standard original barrel
New piston and rings
Electronic ignition
Jettex (with 150 atomiser and slide) through original air box
AF clubman
As I am bedding in a new piston and rings I have been taking it steady not been faster than about 35 for the first 70 miles. Whilst doing a plug chop (which looked about right to me ) I noticed that the engine had got extremly hot. the engine mounts were the same including the cowlings even the rear runner was hot. Now this hasn't seized the engine but Im concerned if I start to open it up I will have problems......I'm quessing this is a carb problem and have tryed a bigger atomiser which seems to make it a bit boggy could it be the airbox causing me probs as its not modified to let more air in.
