What would be the pros and cons of a shorter stroke 63mm crank in a TS1 225? Since I'd have to machine the case to fit the 62 would it even be worth it? I could swap out the rod but it would cost more=maybe not the best option.

Maybe because your post doesn't make sense? Lol
Do you mean LONGER stroke 63 or shorter stroke 53?

Sorry guys, it's a 62mm crank with a 107 rod. Seems like a weird combo to me. I have it available, would it be worth using in a TS1? I have a TS1 kit which needs re nicasiling so I'm looking for advice on a good combo of crank and piston. Those Mitaka pistons looked tasty. I was hoping one of you would have some insight.

62 x 107 is an odd combination. You would want at least a 115mm rod ideally.
With a 107 it will make it really hard to set your port timings up. With a longer rod you might need a pack plate but then you can play with different thicknesses to get things right. You could get the base gasket face machined on the barrel but then the inlet can foul on the frame and you may need to shorten the piston.
