my brother in law has a blaster..... which is playing up.....
what happens is that its starts fine... is nippy... 65-70km/h but after about half a mile it loses power and starts to slow.... it struggles to pull away and speed drops to 45km/h !!???
Any ideas? its 3 yrs old and has only done 6000km..... he has took back to dealer who initially said it was variator rollers,...... he had it in.... then said its not them... but it needs a new exhaust and a Cat (!!! ??? ) I told him that seems strange to me?
Any ideas?

dont know much about the bike, but I would eliminate possibilities... fuel would be my first thought or maybe lack of it... so maybe a remote supply to the carb and then see if its the same...
If its the exhaust I would drill a small blead hole to release pressure if performance is altered for the better then maybe the dealer is on to somthing...
There are probably other things that you could think of and ways to assess these but if it saves money a little investment in time and a small bodge here and there may just find the fault... Hope you fix it...
Another thing on the rev & go's is some have a wax type choke and they can give problems... Try Jerry at Readspeeds he would probably know whats fitted to yours and if it can cause faults...

the word from the man is......
it sounds like fuel starvation.... fuel tap and float opperation might not be working as they should. it's a vague symptom tbh but the cat is in the exhaust and wont do this. probabl;y trying to get 200 quid for an exhaust out of him.
check the 2 things i sudgested an get back to me
