Need to build engine for dry build for frame mods. Could be up to 2 years before paint is finished. Will it be ok stored for this time or any advice as best thing to do. Thanks

I stored a completely rebuilt engine for more than three years. When I came to use it apart from the clutch sticking initially, there were no problems.

I would suggest to seal inlet and exhaust (Stub if present) to the elements and spray some WD40 or 2 stroke oil in the bore with the piston at BDC
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming: "WOW, WHAT A RIDE"
