Good article in Scooter Nova.
E5 has 0% to 5%.
E10 should have between 5.5% and 10% but may have none, depending where you are.

As I understand it, the ethanol causes problems with rubber bits, which are minimal on a 2 stroke scooter and easily replaced with ethanol proof ones. It also absorbs water over time, which can be solved by making sure your tank is either very full, or very empty when stored. Or you ride it so the fuel isn't in there very long.

The last issue is the actual running of it, which can be a problem for a highly tuned scooter. It's a slight loss of power from timing or mixture adjustments as far as I can see.

My scoot s not highly tuned, and it rides fine no matter what fuel I put in it. To be honest, I'm just glad you can still buy petrol at all, no matter what's in it.
