Hi guys. A little help needed if poss. I’ve just got my new RB200 back. Been tuned and ported a little also. Running varitronic ignition at 17 degrees and Technigas pipe. I’ve decided to go with a Mikuni TMX35 but can’t find any jetting/needle info as to where to start off from for running in. I’ve got a full jet and needle kit with the carb. Up to now the carb is totally standard but don’t want to run it until it’s jetted somewhere near albeit on the safe side. Anybody got a starting point for jetting ?

I cant help you with the carb setup but the varitronic needs to be set something like 24 degrees so that it retards back to 17 at higher revs

Not a 35 but maybe helpful:
I run a 32 tmx on my Rb20. Transfers opened up and matched to welded and ported case. Static timing at 17 btdc, B9EGV ngk plug. A.f. rayspeed expansion chamber.
Needle : 6FJ6 highest (richest) position
Needle jet: Q 0
Main : 330
Pilot: 27.5

Needle jet is a 389 series. Also, strangely same carb in my stock rb22 with a similar set up but the needle in that is a 5FP17. Clear as mud..

Thanks for the info guys. Lots to work from. Interesting to see so many different set ups. As 1 said “clear as mud”
