Possible? Well yes, anything is possible.
Likely? No, not at all. He produces some of the fastest and most powerful Lambretta engines on the market, each different package tailored to suit. I've absolutely no idea what the end-use of the 43bhp RB252 engine was for, but from what I have witnessed, Darrell does everything he can to maintain set standards and repeatability. So you'll often see people ride his motors to dyno day shoot-outs etc or other events, and the hp matches what it says on the tin. I don't get the impression that he is in the business of fluffing figures, I really don't.
But that, I guess, is a separate conversation to the old 'matching and flowing' debate which this video sparked off, isn't it?
