Hi, just snapped another after about 100 miles use on my way to Tesco’s. Can anyone offer any advice on the best quality one I could buy? Thanks in advance

I've never had any trouble with any speedo cable as long as all is right in the drive end. Strip the hub and check worm and drive are messing okay and nothing untoward in the bush. Check olive is seating correctly.
Make sure you've got a good clean sweep on the cable where it enters the hub.
Did you replace inner and outer and not it just inner ?
Best of luck

Thanks, didn't have a "good clean sweep on the cable where it enters the hub", that was the main problem this time I think. Will check everything else

Keep it well lubricated. If the plastic outer casing cracks, water will get in (if you ride in the wet) and it'll corrode pretty quick.
Oil or grease? I don't know. Oil is usually best for cables, but a good synthetic grease may help it corroding, but it may also add a bit too much drag
