How does the PX cable operated front brake light switch work, please?

Of i remember correctly it's just a plastic housing with a spring in the middle, a connection is made between 2 spade connectors when the spring is compressed

OK thank you, so the first movement when the brake is applied is to pull the outer cable beyond the switch, which compresses the spring and makes the contact.
