Wrap insulation tape ( or rubber pad ) on outrigger on frame immediately above brake light plunger . If not fitted coreectly or faulty brake light switch when pressing brake the plunger doesn't always clear the frame so earths to frame and headlights go off etc ... Happened to me above solved problem ... Hope that make sense

update , all wiring and and earth from aftermarket back light replaced and all is working fine. Thanks.

If faulty brake light switch it goes to earth when on ( brake pedal depressed ) as switch plunger still in contact with with brake pedal ... Wrap insulation tape or similar around brake pedal where switch plunger is in contact thus isolating ( insulating ) the path to earth ...worth a try as easy to do ?
