EGT meter fuse?

Hello all and Happy New Year!

I have just fitted a Stage 6 EGT to my Series 2.

Do I need to put an in-line fuse on? If so will 3 amp be ok as I already have some in the shed?

and

On the Varitronic ignition, am I right in thinking that the spare connector on the regulator is to charge a battery?

Many thanks!

Is this what you have? https://www.scooter-attack.com/egt-gaug ... tore=sa_en

If it is then as long as there is a fuse some where between the battery and the rest of the system I'd think it would be fine.

yes, one of the connectors on the regulator is for DC out. I don't think it's very much, only good for trickle charging a battery.

Thanks Grumpy225, I have fitted it now and put a 3 amp fuse between the battery and the display. Hopefully the trickle charge will be enough to keep the battery topped up :D
