Does EGT hole have to be blanked off?

Not using an egt on my engine but the exhaust has a probe fitting welded on. Does this have to be blanked off? Want to ride but can’t find a bolt that will fit

Yes blank it off weld it up or find a bolt

The thread is usually a tapered 1/8 NPT.....................but not always !!
