As it's stopped bloomin raining down here (famous last words) I've now been able to take the carb off to try & fathom why the scoot is coughing & spluttering at anything under 3/4 throttle....as this is a first for me a couple of stupid questions.

I've noticed that the filter has some crud in it (again) presumably from the tank. Does anyone use or recommend using an inline filter?

Taken the float bowl off and the only 2 jets I can see with numbers on are 120 (which I'm guessing os the main) and 55 (which I guess is the choke jet). Am I right?

How do I check what needle I have?

Also there is a little scoring on the slide....will that make a difference at all?

Running a Rapido 225 with JL3 these jets don't seem man enough per other info on here!

Soz for all the questions but previously had standard carbs on Vespas!!

Need to get this sorted for Weston.

Cheers all.

120 is the main....should be around 125 for a race rapido.

50 is the pilot jet

Choke jet is the long thing jet that sticks out at the bottom with a tiny rubber O ring on the bottom of the jet!
