185cc Cylinder kit jetting advice please

Can anyone give me a tried and tested starting point for jetting a 22mm Jetex on a 185cc SR Cylinder kit and 42mm AF Rayspeed clubman ..
my lastest setup still seems too rich for some reason . I think i'll swop the choke piston to make sure I'm not getting a leaky choke. It has started ok and sounded pretty good until it cut out after a minute . (I left the fuel tap off doh !) since then it hasn't run well at all and if it starts at all with a dry plug and no throttle or choke it runs sluggishly with no throttle pick up and cuts out soon after
