Series 1 rear light board or BGM LEDs?

Good afternoon All,
I'm finally sorting the lights to my Peugeot S57. I was planning on using a BGM LED rear light but wondered if a Series 1 rear with LED festoons would be a better bet? I could trim the BGM one to fit but can someone give me the dimensions for the Series 1 board? My light fitting's about 140 mm long, 40mm wide at the middle and 25 mm wide at the ends.

Also, my front light fitting is for a bulb with 3 bayonet 'pins', does anyone know where I can get a bulb to fit or is there a Lambretta reflector and bulb holder that I could use, reflector is 130mm diameter, hoping to fit an uprated 35/35w halogen bulb.
Cheers,
Joe

Have a look on eBay for LED stop tail lights for pit bikes. I found one that fitted inside my series 1 rear light. I used a bit of silicon to fit the led unit inside the lens and it bolted on. The one I used was a clear one that lit red. Very bright cheap and still working well after 5 years. I am running full DC though, some have had problems with the BGM ones on AC

Festune would be my vote for the tail light.

Easy to get and won't have to modify anything.
I'm confused about the head light. Are you saying the loom at the light is a 3 pin type and you need a lamp for it? Something to work with this maybe?

No, the actual metal bulb fitting has three pins for the bayonet fitting rather than the normal two.

Photo would help on this one.

The weak point with LED festoons is the contacts at either end. They draw such a small current that the slightest resistance can stop them working. Also, they don't give out a 360 degree light so if there is any form of reflector in your rear light you might not get the full spread of light and the number plate may not get illuminated.
+1 for the pit bike LED idea, I have one in my LiS 125, been going strong for a similar length of time. The one I bought came in an elliptical housing and I just took the light board out and it wedges nicely inside my housing with the old reflector unit removed.

I'm guessing something like this would work, much cheaper then the bgm, especially if I'm just using it to trial and it will definitely fit.
