Just finished the dry build of my S3 Li prior to painting and noticed that there is very little gap between the bottom edge of the right hand (engine) side panel to to floor runner. I have bought new pressed panels from TSR as my original right hand one had a piece cut out due to the previous owner fitting a race type exhaust. I have gone back to an original pipe so had to change the panel. I am concerned that the panel will rub on the rear runner and take the paint off. Is there any adjustments that can be made (that does not include a big hammer :o ). I am thinking I could get a bit with the rear dog leg but the issue is more towards the front.
Any help as always would be much appreciated

Did you try it with the rubber seal on the lip to see if that lifts it you can also put a thinner rubber washer under the rear board were you tighten the bridge peice

Thanks for the suggestions Garry. I did have the seal fitted at the time. The thinner washer may help though. The other option I have thought about is to apply some clear paint protection film to the bottom edge of the side panel an also to the runner. I bought some to put on the splash palate to add a bit of protection to the new paint.

If you have quick release bridge peice fixings, they can lift the rear floorboard at the front.

I have got quick release fixings for the bridge piece but they were not fitted for the dry build. I was planning on fitting them when I reassemble it after paint. Are you saying they could make it worse?
