came to fit a delorto sh2/22 carb onto a standard rebuilt ser2 tv175 and found it wouldnt fit.
the o/d of the manifold is 30mm and the i/d of the carb is 30mm with the plastic reducer in,
just wondering if the manifold is standard as i never checked it before fitting cowling and putting in scooter. any advice welcome, thanks.
Mick.

I've had that problem in the past. I've also had them very loose fits.
I think it's just down to poor machining.
Just rub the manifold down a bit and use 2T on it when fitting the carb.

I used a TV/2 manifold and swapped the bushing in the SH2/22 for a TV/2 type (available from Dell'orto UK). As the curvature of the TV/2 manifold (and LI/2) is different to the S3 type it also means you won't have to trim your cylinder cowl for it to fit.
Alternatively, use a GP manifold, but be prepared to trim cowl.

I'm running a 22mm carb on my TV175 S2. I used a Scootopia GP manifold and I don't think any cutting of the cowl was involved.
