Engine and frame numbers??

Hi,
I got my first Lambretta (Li150 s3) about a year ago and am now in the middle of adding a Gori kit and upgrading to Casa electrics.
Once the chain case was off I noticed the kickstart shaft had been rubbing on the clutch top plate and basket. It had clearly been welded at some point and I thought I'd replace it with a new shaft, rather than grind the repaired one down. I looked online only to find there are two types available, depending on year... pre 68 and post 68
Although my Li is registered as 1966, out of curiosity I pumped the engine number (150Li 799XXX) in to scooterhelp and it came up Li 1959/60
Realising that scooterhelp may not be 100% reliable on this, I checked the British Lambretta Archive; the frame number (150Li3 736XXX) comes in as an s3 li150, but the high engine number suggests a Li150 special as it says the Li150 engine numbers went up to 700,001.

Being new to Lambrettas, I'm a bit lost with all these production numbers and no closer to working out the year of the motor! I'm pretty certain my motor is a series 3 as it has two sizes of studs on the casing.
Can anyone shed any light on this so I can get on and order the right parts?
Alan
