just acquired 5 sets of Wide split rims , whats the pros and cons of using these .

I use them on every scoot I own. A bigger rear tyre will always give you a bit more grip and can also help with gearing issues. The only downside which is very minor is they can sometimes rub on your casing. This is easily overcome with a spacer under the hub cone. Finding a supplier of decent round ones can be a pain too but that's also true of standard sizes rims as well.
