I'm after Dzus Fasteners for my rear runners, but I'm unsure of the correct size.

Does anyone know what size I should use?

Good to see this catching on as I've been using them for 30 odd years.

BTW, you can run an M5 tap through the button part then use an M5 screw & big washer on the underside.

Have you got a photo showing these fitted?

Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't aware of those ones. I was thinking of these.

How do they fit?

I'm so thick. I've been staring at the images from the link and your photos and couldn't figure out how it worked, but am I right in thinking the wee round bush thingmie is bolted to the struts?

Yes, the 'bobbin' (that I run an M5 tap through) is effectively the nut on top of the struts with the screw (best is an M5 socket cap screw) on the underside with a large plain M5 washer either side of the strut because of the slots.

The inner edge of the floorboards are also modified so that they just clip underneath the bridge-piece which I space off the struts with a pillar or rubber fuel pipe.

I hope that helps but don't hesitate to say if it's still unclear.

I'm using 1/2-inch Dzus buttons throughout my bike for the rear runners, side panels, and legshield tool box.

Here are a couple pics:
