Does a series 2 rear frame grill fit a series 3 frame or are they a different shape. Ta

Sorry I'll rephrase the question. I know they are a different style but are they the same profile at the back so each would fit a different frame. Like the GP and series 3 ones are interchangeable. If you get what I mean

Series 2 grills look more rounded than series 3's.I should say that they dont fit but I haven't tried.
