I'm about to change my monza 225 gearbox from a gp 200 to an li 150 gearbox. I'm currently running 47/19. Just wondering if it's a good idea to drop down the front sprocket to 18, what's the best sprocket chain combination for this gearbox?

Your best bet is to have a go with the gearbox calculator on this forum, what was the reason for taking out the gp box ?

as i cant find it on here now.

you will be going from 4.95 a/all ratio to 4.44, quite a drop , will your barrel tune/carb exhaust combo pull it ok ?
why not try 19/46 on the gp box first ?
win or lose have a booze

I'm changing the gearbox as I don't like the ratios on the gp200 box, big jump from second to third and barely anything from 3rd to fourth. It's an untuned barrel at the moment with a 30 phbh and a tsr exhaust. It pulls fine at the moment but I'm planning a tour tune on the barrel at the end of the rally season with a 60/110 crank so I imagine it should pull well

I've got an Innocenti Li 150 gearbox in my series 3.It has a Casa 210 top end with a clubman exhaust,I'm using 16x46 sprockets and it pulls great.

I hope that you have a good clutch as swapping to the LI box and smaller front sprocket will put the clutch under a lot more strain? Your GP200 19 front is giving the current clutch a very easy life.

I've had a nightmare with the current clutch slipping like a bitch but I'm changing it for a cassette clutch so I'm gonna sort all the gearing out at the same time
