Small block casing for a series 2 Li150.
I'm looking for a basic price on how much it would cost me
To rebuild the engine with a Muggello 186 kit on?
The casing has been stripped and ready to be built.
I know the kit is about £450 not including a new crank.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was quoted 300 plus parts for a strip and rebuild with new seals and bearings. It soon adds up if you start upgrading and replacing other parts like clutch etc

I also rebuilt a small block. Li150 special but I went with a GT 186 kit. Similar money and a better kit imo.

Kit + Crank + New Exhaust + New Carb + seals/bearings + new flywheel to fit GP style crank.
You won't get much change from £1000. I know i've just done it.

be careful who you use, A good friend had an engine rebuilt by very well known dealer/shop and got ripped right off, old parts used, items charged for but not used, shoddy workmanship , i was shocked at the state of the rebuild to be honest.
The real horror of it all is if they had done a certain job he`d asked them to do, we would never have taken it apart ( until the oil seal failed , or something else failed ).
win or lose have a booze
