Px200 gear selector rod

Need help any ideas how to get gear selector rod off cruciform, thread seems to have stripped so just spins round and won't undo

Dumb question from someone who once broke a gear selector rod... You did correctly treat this as left handed (opposite the usual) threads - right?

Yep knew it was left handed thread and yes I've got a new rod and cruciform, so all is good
