Anyone use Mikuni TMX power jet?

Got a power jet to fit to Mikuni TMX 35 - wondering what people think of them? Got dyno booked in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if it's worth fitting it before. What's peoples experience of them?

Many thanks :D

If it's the adjustable type, just fit it!

If it's the adjustable pj, then yes, fit it.

It's not the Cam Lam one that you can adjust by twisting the top - it's adjustable in that you can change the small jets inside the main body.

In that case, I would get the CamLam one fitted, it's well worth is, more so on a Mikuni in my opinion

What's wrong with the Mikuni one?

Never used one, but the adjustable ones will work well and can be adjusted to suit changes in air density/weather conditions.

Fitted it this afternoon - used the 80 jet - will leave main jet as it is until I get dyno done in a couple of weeks :D

I can't imagine even an obsessive owner changing power jet jets to suit atmospherics, and if those of you that do, do you do your pilot etc etc?
I've used the Mikuni power jets on many different scoots with very, very good results. I would say that they take a bit of setting up, especially adjusting them to the correct length you require, where you find that you get the best integration V the main. Once set-up though, a good bit of kit and no need to adjust again, even for atmospherics. I have had no need or requests to try/ fit/ set-up the Camlam one, so can't offer my thoughts on it, sorry. Now fitted to yours, be prepared to muck about a bit on the dyno, but worth it. (Before attending the dyno, see if you can make up a few spacers to "lift" it to various heights to try the differences, you'll be surprised). Simon.

There are definitely advantages to some to have it adjustable, plus you wouldn't be adjusting lengths etc., so it's a lot easier to set up, but each to there own.
