Fitted a reedspeed 5 plate clutch in my gt200 , and thought it would be a good ide to fit some mb springs at the same time
but find the clutch is heavy er than i would have liked , my question is before i open up the engine again , are the reedspeed ones any lighter ,, or am i wasting my time, regards Steve

Steve, reputable (read both Readspeed and MB) dealer clutches are balanced to work with their springs. Readspeed/ Readspeed, MB/MB. S.

I fitted MB springs to my Readspeed clutch and it's as light as a feather. I can pull it in with one finger. They should as already stated get slightly softer after some use.

I did the same, clutch is a bit heavy but not too bad. I know a better cable would be an improvement. Great clutch option for most scoots, please doesn't waste money on the OTT expensive ones and some of them are crap.
