Series 3air scoop

What are your views on opening out the air scoop on series 3 125 special with 275 iron head standard car and 42mm clubman exhaust cheers info much appreciated. ..
I guess you mean a 175cc with standard carb(?)
I would open it up, because I don't think it can do any harm. Why not open it a bit, like to the bottom, rather than take out the whole web (as per GP200). See if it makes any difference.
(I know my mate fitted a GP150 scoop to a GP200, and it strangled the power at top end, so the web does do something)
