Jetting in 210

I'm trying to get my 210 running, NOS older kit.

Spec is -

Ported casings modded for reed
MRP flat reed
New Si24/24
60mm crank
SIP Head packer at the head as per SIP rec for 'torque' tune
SIP Touren lightened flywheel.

Couldn't get it to run at all well with the old carb so borrowed a standard one of my brothers PX and with no changes to jetting it started better and ran a bit better. So I got a new one and have fitted it.

Basic jetting when I got it was - stack 160/BE3/118, pilot 55/160

Initially I just put in a 132 main and set the mixture screw 1 1/2 turns out. It started on the choke and would tickover but a little high but wouldn't tickover off the choke. Adjusting the mixture out a 1/4 turn at a time I get to about 4 turns out before it would settle off the choke and even then it would die on opening the throttle.

I think this means it's not getting enough fuel as it comes of tickover, so I changed the pilot to 55/100. It now will rev of tickover but still seems a bit rough.

Am I going in the right direction?

Hi Rosscla, i have a 220 using old spec kit. I had a proper merry dance setting up my 24/24 carb. Although i am using the 24/24G T5 Carb. It is sweet as now. I am working today but could check my jetting etc and get back to you on Sunday if any good to you?

That's using a 1.2mm packer & head gasket giving a squish of 1.5mm
