I have SIP rims on my GP therefore larger studs. will a standard split rim fit? Or will I have to change the studs back? Reason for the question is I want to carry a split rim spare to save space....

I expect it would if you don't use domed nuts and a deep socket to change over.
Have you tried it?

Msg corrado on here he supplied me with the nuts for this reason. Think the sip nuts will bottom out on split rims.
