Anyone tell me if the 185 64mm suzuki conversion piston would suit as a replacement for the sr twe kit?
For a mates bike.

Not unless the kit was already converted to use a Suzuki piston as the standard Lambretta / SR piston has a different compression height to the Suzuki piston. Without having the barrel machined or a different conrod fitted to the crank then the answer is NO... unless it was previously converted.

I have a Suzuki 190 conversion the barrel has been topped and tailed to make the Suzuki piston work with the lambretta barrel, I also have the matching head as the profile is not the same as a standard piston, if it's a normal lambretta piston in your kit your best to replace like with like, also with my conversion the piston skirt is shortened as well, a good kit but only as good as the person who tuned it, mine was done by a well known tuner with a good reputation. I think the Suzuki piston can be used without topping and tailing but you would then need the long tv type Conrod , in a word Suzuki piston is great quality but not always an easy installation

I've used that piston on a TV set up (longer rod)- seems to work very well indeed and gives me around 186cc. Nice thin rings and light generally. Did nothing else apart from the head opened slightly. Basic but works for me.
