Snake Head Carb tops

Anyone used one? Any good or just another gimmick?

VHSH 30mm.

My carb is tilted so my long range tank fits but on full gas for any period of time it starts to starve itself. I either get tank modified or fit a snake head.

Had snake head on for about a week. Maybe 100 miles or so. Taken carb to bits and slide and spring are full of black plastic grinding bits. So whilst it solves one problem it creates another.

Can't say I've noticed any of that on mine and it's done 2 or 3 hundred miles now :? I very pleased with it and in some instances it would allow a long range tank to fit without a cut out 8-)

Only put on after you have jetting sorted. It's a pain to take it on and off. I had one cause a cable to fray as it bends it at a sharp angle. I pulled it off after a season

I couldn't do that as the standard top fouled the tank etc and couldn't get a nice smooth run on the cable or the carb at a decent angle. I have convinced myself it's teflon and pistons are coated in it so it's not a massive issue.

All the other snake heads I've seen are nice smooth plastic. Mines quite rough.
