Been given a pair of Atomic front dampers but not sure which way to turn the adjuster to make them either soft or hard

There seems to be 14 steps or clicks when I turn the adjuster from one end to the other

What I need to know is, looking from the front of the scooter if i turn the adjuster to the left fully is that the softest or hardest position
