I'm needing some advise on the quality, pros and cons of the avanti cylinder head on a TS1 to using the standard type.

Larger head with more mass means that it will run cooler than standard head. Got one on mine, well nearly, it will be on by Friday afternoon . Going to Southport on Saturday so will see what the actual CHT says on SIP speedo. Cons are that you need a matching GRP cowl. Plus, may need extended studs as a mate of mine found. Anyway, AF Rayspeed have a similar head called the Mammoth.

The head cowl is fibreglass. I've never bothered to put the head stud nuts in just the msg flange bolts, it's been like that since it was fitted & since Ron bought them out
