Front shocks

I'm trying to get some front dampers that fit the following, but am struggling to find info.

-classic look, so could be either slimline or covered by gaitors

-heavily damped (that's just how I like them)

- damped for compression and rebound.

Anyone know of any that fit the bill?

Thanks

Motorcycle steering dampers are damped in both directions, most people that use them on Lambrettas use the Kawasaki dampers.

Not a bad shout but they damp at the same rate in both directions which is pretty awful. It tends to lead to either being under damped on the rebound or over damped on compression.

Top contenders seem to be scootopia or bgm unadjustable. I'm not convinced that the extra £100 or so by the time I've bought gaitors for the bgm will be worth it though.

For the money I like the escorts... cant tell the difference between them and the BGM's, I run, if I'm going to be perfectly honest...

for under £30 try them, and punt them on evilBay afterwards of you dont like them....

I like the sound of that. Those BGM ones look nice quality, but if there's nothing quantifiably better about them, then I'll just buy escorts/scootopia.

I have Cambridge progressive in my series 3. I'm going to try out the mb ones on my series 2. I suspect they'll be no better, but I like trying stuff. They are however 3 times the price!

I'll report back but it won't be on the road until next spring.
