somebody help me please before i go insane.i got an indian gp150 which im rebuilding the engine ,i got a new crankshaft a tamini i think 58 115 from ebay for a gp ,also got a set of main bearings for a gp .on close inspection the crank is the same except rod length as the gp 150 but the flywheel side seal shoulder is 10mm on the new tamini crank and the old sil 150 gp crank measures 13mm so i cant fit the crank or i will have 3mm free play.i have searched around and found that a nu2205 bearing the 1 i have in the kit is 15mm wide but a nu2205e is 18mm wide but is only used on gp200 models.does this meen i have a gp200 crank and i need the nu2205e 18mm wide to take up the 3mm from the seal shoulder .my gp150 flywheel fits on the tamini its just this issue with the bearing holding me up.this is my first post and my first lambretta so go easy on me i know nothing.

you either need a NU2205E bearing or one of these and the bearing you have

I have two smallblock motors and when I rebuilt them I did so with MEC GP cranks and NU2205 flywheel bearings.I believe these cranks are made by Temanini (spelling)or at least are identical.

i have that spacer it was fitted when i stripped the engine and the nu2205 i have is the same size as the ball bearing i removed.if i fit the nu2205 and use the spacer surely the main bearing race will be 3mm out

ya don't use the bearing spacer with a 2205 and ya only fit a 2205 to a crank with the shorter 10mm shoulder

the problem is the flywheel side seal shoulder is 3mm shorter on the new crank. the bearing that came out of the mag housing is same size as a nu2205 and the gp crank seal shoulder is 13mm

if this crank is a gp200 it will need the wider nu2205e bearing

The bearing that you took out with the spacer is the NU205.The new one, fitted without the spacer is the NU2205,which is a wider bearing.
By the way,its not a ball bearing, its a roller bearing and once its fitted it has to be packed with high melting point grease.

no the bearing i took out is the exact same size as the nu2205 measured it 18mm thick and its a caged ball bearing as the drive side has
