Cargo 'pants'

Looking for something to wear that offers a bit more protection than a pair of jeans, can anyone recommend some cargo pants (as they seem to be called, combat trousers to any scooterboy!)? Seen some at J&S for £100 that were Kevlar lined, knee and hip padded and looked ok. Also seen some for £500 that obviously include free medical care or something at that price.
Does anyone have any suggestions of anything with the right balance of value vs quality?
Not so keen on the jeans, really. Not that keen on looking like a just-finished-work carpet layer either, but it's better than not having any kneecaps.

http://www.bikersgearuk.com/ They sell Kevlar camo cargo pants at a price that would be hard to beat . Everything I have bought there has been of a very good quality and super value for money. Give them a bell as they are great at getting your size right.

i just had another look at the website, they also do plain kevlar cargo pants at £49.99, check the reviews you'll be surprised. And just in case your wondering, I don't work there, they are local to me and I've bought loads of biking gear leathers etc from them and to be honest nothing touches them at even twice the price.

I had a vespa i painted in urban camo paint. I parked it on york. I never saw it again the camo paint job was that good. If you find it can you let me know

I have a pair of armoured jeans. They are double demin (!) in all the right places, and have armoured pads in knees and on your arse (though I have removed the latter).
I appreciate that you don't want jeans, but the reason I mention this is that they have armour that is designed to absorb impact. Kevlar trousers might not tear or rip, but they have no extra impact protection. Frankly, if my knee is going to hit the ground at speed, I would prefer to be wearing half an inch of shock absorbing material rather than just a couple of millimetres of fabric.
Am I wrong? Are these cargo trousers not as I imagine?

The cargo pants I referred to in my reply have CE armour.
