Hi all can any one recommend a good tensioner,I've read about the pull down tensioner and rather fancy one, if any has some experience with all types please speak and if you got pictures to would be great

The GT tensioners are excellent.

recently tried the GT tensioner, but the sliding bolts at the back caught on the casing, and couldnt loctite the main bolts in position at the beginning. But a good value piece of kit... Jockeys Boxenstop pull down tensioner has to be my favourite though; although if you are using a slightly longer chain than expected you may have a bother trying to tighten the top bolt....

Anyone tried the casa one yet?

I used these from AF in a lot of engines, always thought they were good value.

I agree with Dan on this, these are simple , uncomplicated , i remove the 2 screws and loctite in for safe measure , ive now been using for a few years in my own sprint and tuned motors.

I agree with Dan on this, these are simple , uncomplicated , i remove the 2 screws and loctite in for safe measure , ive now been using for a few years in my own sprint and tuned motors.

Just looked on AF there's two one of price of the other the cheaper of the two says needs drive plate screw, excuse me for being thick???

The expensive one is the LTH version, the cheaper one is the AF copy. I use the AF copy.

Order a drive side plate screw with it for fitting.
