What size bearing are you using for this piston a 20 or 22 wide x16 I just seem to have a lot of room from side to side the one in pics is a 20 and when on the crank it just has to Mutch roomImageImage

If your crank uses shims you should use a 22mm bearing. If your crank has no shims you should use a 20mm bearing with a 1mm shim either side.

Garry, The TS1 pistons I've seen require the standard 20mm wide small end. Some pistons use shims but the ASSO TS1 pistons I've seen do not and the total piston float is circa 1 - 1.5mm. If the total float of the 20mm wide bearing is more than 2.5mm then you should go to the wider 22mm wide conversion bearing. Was the piston originally supplied with the kit from AF? Perhaps check with AF as all the information I've seen for small ends on the AF site is 20mm wide.

Yes it's just over 3mm overall I am going tomorrow to pick up my barrel so I think I'll take the piston to check thanks

Like you said its the 20mm witch I've always used it just seemed a bigger gap but Ben said it's fine so it's all good I built the engine up today and alls good apart from an air leek from the casing that I had converted but I'll sort that thanks
