going to give my li a new paint job,was painted over 13 years ago in 2pack in red,now will it be ok to thouroughly degrease with panel wipe and after filling and sanding any dent scratches etc,prime with a upol self etch primer the one that comes in the aerosol,
final paint will be a cream and green castrol look in 2 pack,cheers

I would check that the primer is suitable for spraying over 2k first, some are designed to etch metal surfaces.

As coaster said, etch primer is designed for bare metal, I wouldn't use an acid etch primer over any paint, personally I wouldn't use primer out of rattle cans (except to dust over if I cut through any primer) you should be ok with a 2k high build primer though or you could just use a "1K" acrylic primer, either of those should be ok over most paints and can be painted over with 2K
