Righto, got a '62 Sportique that has a new loom.
I want to go 12V and CDI instead of points
I'm guessing I need a regulator for the lighting
Is the Beedspeed kit any good ?

The kit Beedspeed offers is a Bajaj stator, flywheel and CDI. When it works, it's great; 12v lights and effortless ignition as advertised. But I've also had instances where I've replaced every component on the stator, had flywheels miss riveted at the center boss and CDIs that fail out of the box. For the price though, you can't beat it. And to be fair, I've only had problems on bikes with this kit already fitted so I have no idea where the units have been sourced from. This does make a difference as the quality of Indian aftermarket parts has historically been pretty poor.
The kit Beedies offers has the regulator included and all the wiring, which is nice. You're going to need to replace your brake light switch and the wiring to that switch, and the handle bar switch.
