When painting bare aluminium parts of Lambretta is etch primer just used in general ? Would a sealer/acid be better to apply first ? I had a fair bit of blistering, white corrosion alloy, showing after a few maybe 7 or 8 years on the last respray done. Thanks

In the past acid etch primer was the accepted route to take, I'm not up on current market developments but worth contacting a couple of paint manufacturers for specific product info.

have you had the parts vapor blasted ? if not i would recommend that you do, gets rid of any oxidation and creates a good key for your primer, i have used etch primer and epoxy primer with good results.
