Anyone know where I can get lambretta inner wire cables made of the finer more flexible wire, sometimes called aircraft grade, from, please?

Until recently I still had some left from a hosiery factory - used on the knitting machines. The best inner cable ever. Maybe an engineering supplier?

Got to ask the question are these 5 quid "super" cables actually better than a decent "standard" cable......like we've been using for years.
In all honesty if installed and set up right standard cables have given me good service, in about 25 years of riding vespa and lambretta (lambrettas with centre spring clutches! )I can count on one hand how many cables have failed on me.
Or are they like loads of other things that people tell us we "need"

Well put Gary.
I've personally found the nylon lined cables to be better wearing, and last longer, than the cables of 'old' that you used to recommend running oil down between the inner and outer, but I have my doubts on those 'super' cables that cost upwards of £10 each
But, each to their own as my clutch hand isn't what it used to be and anything that aides making the Lambretta clutch level pull a bit easier is very welcome.

I had an original Silver Special a while back with all its original outers and inners.
The inners were "solid" cables (i.e. not braided) and obviously stood the test of time since it was assembled in 1965- the clutch and gear actions were so smooth as well.
