Hi all
I've noticed that my Vespa px 125-180 is using a lot of fuel, and when i checked for any signs of a leak i noticed the rear tyre was covered in fuel, oil or both. it has an open 30mm Dellorto carb with no filter....would this cause the spillage and is it not dangerous?

Probably spit back from the carb, probably not good for the tyre rubber or grip

A badly set up 30mm phbh on an unknown kit will be heavy on juice.
The crap on the back wheel could be many things; gearbox oil from a leaky casing or been over filled and coming from oil breather, oil/petrol running down back of casing from leaking manifold or if carb is badly set up it could be split back.
