SX Chrome headlight Rim Repair?

Can they be repaired? It's cracked off between the bottom holes. I know they were cheap pot metal but it's original and I'm keen to try and repair it.
My mate (fabricator) calls it "monkey metal" and can't repair them. Maybe some sort of adhesive or liquid metal might work.
I've a spare you can have, picked out of a box of bits at a parts fair ages ago. It'll need chroming though. Just let me know - cheers Steve
