The one on the top I think is for a vacuum pump feed or a oil feed and should be blanked of.

Thanks for that am I right in thinking the one from the float bowl is just a breather & the one on the side is an overflow

the one on the float bowl should be the overflow, if you look inside float bowl you will see a copper pipe, (the bit that's a barsteward to get past the floats when you try and fit it to the carb)that goes to the overflow on the bottom
