What's the reason for the two clutch holders 1/ the clutch steel plate holder and 2/ the clutch cork plate holder?? Two separate tools....why not just use the single clutch holding tool like the one Buzz Solo sells on eBay for a tenner... Or am I missing something?

There is only one holding tool this holds both the crown wheel and spider together to allow the centre nut to be undone and tightened , the type buzz sells does the same job as the other types , the other essential tool is the clucth spring compressor.

for a few quid the tool to hold the springs in place is worth getting, not essential but the springs & grease method can test your patience at times.

The type I see sold on eBay by willenhall scooters consists of two separate tools, one that locates from the inside of the clutch spider and one that locates from the outside of the clutch spider, was just wondering what the point of having both (sold as a pair) was over having the Buzz type.

if you put in "Lambretta clutch tools the Buzz ones (with the little Buzz dadge) come up along with the Willenhall scooters twin set.

They can use needing 2 as an excuse for charging more.

OK, so Im guessing you dunno how to post links and have to assume you mean these from wilhenhall

vs these from buzz

Certainly there's a few things obvious from both pictures the first being that the willenhall looks like its made of crap, certainly the parts i bought off them in the past are pure rubbish. the fact its two parts is neither here nor there, its just a different way of lining up the sprocket and spider simple.

Now buzzs looks like its made much better, but I personally have neither of these and have this one which has a larger central opening allowing easier access to align the spider and sprocket as well as spreading the load across 2 studs on chaincase instead of just one as you are torquing up the nut. also, it can be had for only £6.50
