I'm about to fit an lth chain tensioner. It came with only one allen head fixing screw. Is the one bolt enough or should I use a second from the original old tensioner? Also i'm wondering about threadlock. Should I put it along the thread or under the head of the bolt where it tightens onto the tensioner? I'm fighting the temptation to use the whole bottle for fear of anything coming loose!

They only supply one fixing bolt, as its the recessed one for the top one of the two. Reuse your existing bolt in the bottom one. Just make sure its not too long. You only need a couple of drops of loctite on the thread part of each bolt.

Have the tensioner fitted and all's good but as mentioned above, the length of bolt used is important. If it's one from an original tensioner it's too long and needs a washer or two if stripped threads are to be avoided. I'm thanking my lucky stars that for once I didn't make a mess of a simple job! Thanks again for the help.
