BGM clutch springs.

Hi all, I've just fitted a BGM Superstrong clutch to my RB20 and I have a question. It comes with 2 sets of springs one stiff set and a not so stiff set. I called MB ( where I got it from ) and Phil recommended fitting the stiffer springs as it was for an RB motor. Well I've fitted the clutch but with the stiff springs there is hardly any separation between the plates when fully compressed and even with an easy clutch device fitted it's very stiff at the lever. Anyway I took it all apart again and fitted the softer springs which give nice plate separation and a very light action at the lever. So is anyone else running one on soft springs in a motor as powerful or more powerful than a standard RB20 and is it ok? I don't want to put it fully back together and oil up the box if it's a waste of time. Thanks in advance Pete.
