Yep, this old can of worms again: paint codes :D

Does anyone have a PPG code for Yellow Ochre as per Lambretta dl/GPs and Vega/Cometas?

Am I correct in assuming that the Casa paint chip books only go up to the mid-60s? ...and before you ask, no I can't just order some from XYZ supplier as I'm 17,000 km away.

Thanks! :D

Thanks Rog. I'm trying to get the PPG codes so I can get my local painter mix it up for me. After a bit of hunting around (read: work procrastination) found this on the German Scooter Forum:

Citation Dean, Rimini Lambretta Center:
PPG use the same number as Lechler (as its an Innocenti code originally) which is eg 8080 which is eg 8080th. Your paint supplier will be able to find the colour in the 'FLEET ITALIA' listings with this number for PPG paints. Your paint supplier will be able to find the color in the 'FLEET ITALIA' listings with this number for PPG paints. Its not listed as Lambretta or Innocenti etc. - just 'PPG / FLEET ITALIA'. Its not listed as Innocenti Lambretta or so - just 'PPG / FLEET ITALIA'. ie in plain English: the Lechler no. = FLEET Italia (order 'FLEET I') Nr. = FLEET Italia (or 'FLEET I')

One of the guys in the LCoA went down to a PPG supplier last week on my behalf :D :D :D and low and behold they found 'LAMBRETTA OCHRA' in the PPG Formula Look Up software (see link--sorry about the shitty resolution). According to the local PPG website it is PPG Paint Formula Lookup (PFL) is a lite version of Paint Manager suitable for those users who only wish to look up colour formulas.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone.

With their reputation I should think Rimini Lambretta would know, hadn't thought of them.
